Another Big Honor for the Pakistani Feature Film ‘Joyland’

Pakistani filmmaker Saim Sadiq’s feature film ‘Joyland’ has bagged yet another major honor after being screened at the Cannes Film Festival and garnering rave reviews.

The film ‘Joyland’ has been selected for screening at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).

The film has been nominated in the ‘Best Film from the Subcontinent’ category at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).

In this regard, the director of the film Saeem Sadiq says, ‘It is a great honor and I am very excited to participate in this festival.

“It’s always great to get recognition for work, especially when it comes from your own people, whether they’re from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh or anywhere in South Asia, always more,” he said. It feels special because they can appreciate their stories in a way that maybe other people can’t.

It should be noted that last week Saeem Sadiq announced on his Instagram account that the film ‘Joyland’ will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
